Town of Gilford NH issued the following announcement on August 18.

SAVE THE DATE !
Recognize the Volunteers and Volunteer Coordinators in your organization
BELKNAP COUNTY VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION DAY
September 19th 10am-1pm Gunstock Mountain Resort Lodge

Purpose: Celebrate and thank volunteers involved in giving back to their community and the environment
through a FREE special event recognizing the difference they’ve made. This includes a Volunteer Job Fair to
learn about opportunities available across Belknap County organizations and training demonstrations on active
volunteer opportunities available from maintaining trails to fund & friend-raising to gleaning local produce for
food pantries.

Theme: Belknap Volunteers – Helping our neighbors and environment

Activities:

09:30-10:00 Volunteers check in and receive packet including tee shirt or hat and
tickets for transportation to training demonstrations and visit “Volunteer Fair”
Table top displays and opportunities with partner organizations

10:00-10:15 Welcome and Introductions

10:15-10:45 Light Brunch (provided through other partner funds)

10:30-11:00 Speaker: Share stories and insights about neighbors helping neighbors and how
volunteers connect communities.

11:00-11:45 Time to visit Volunteer Fair displays/info tables

11:45- 1:00 Visit Training Demonstrations at the top of Gunstock via chairlift, at the Wetland
Walk and in the Lodge.

Volunteer Thank You Packet proposed would be tee shirt or visor for volunteers, personalized thank you notes.
