City Of Laconia issued the following announcement on September 3.

From September 26 through October 3, landmarks,  fire departments, businesses, organizations and homes across the nation will glow  in respect of fallen firefighters and their families.  The National Fallen Fighters’ Association invites all of us to honor and reflect on the sacrifice of America’s fallen heroes by lighting up red. Learn more at www.firehero.org/light-the-night.  As dusk turns to dark, please join our community in lighting up your home or other buildings in red to show our respect to our fallen heroes.
