Mike Belcher, an online commentator, posted a series of tweets on February 12, 2026, criticizing language and concepts used in public relations and human resources materials. In his posts, Belcher expresses concerns about what he perceives as indoctrination and the undermining of parental rights.
In his first tweet at 19:13 UTC, Belcher shared examples of what he described as approved language used for indoctrination: “Here’s some examples of the Public-Relations/Human-Resources approved language they use to indoctrinate.
Here, they implicitly call for tolerance of everything (except intolerance). It’s a foundationally anti-conservative and anti-Christian teaching.
Making judgements”.
Seven minutes later, Belcher expanded on his critique by focusing on parental authority. He wrote: “Just incredible indoctrination and violation of parental rights.
This is clearly advocating teaching a totalizing moral framework in violation of the right of the parents and, if they choose, the Church to have responsibility for this. This is not in accordance with our”.
At 19:24 UTC, Belcher commented further on educational approaches related to social issues: “And here’s more. Here, we have explicit calls to ‘ally,’ which we all know is related to LGBTQ ideology and critical theory.
It also is explicitly teaching children to suppress their natural reaction to circumstances and to, instead, invoke a progressive lens to view things”.
Belcher’s remarks come amid ongoing debates over how schools address topics such as diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), and LGBTQ-related issues. Critics like Belcher argue that some educational programs introduce concepts aligned with progressive ideologies that may conflict with certain religious or conservative viewpoints. Supporters of DEI initiatives contend that these programs aim to create more inclusive environments for all students.
The issue of parental rights in education has been widely discussed in recent years. Many states have considered or enacted legislation granting parents greater authority over school curricula and policies regarding sensitive topics such as gender identity and sexuality.
