Mike Belcher, a commentator active on social media, posted a series of tweets on September 11, 2025, addressing topics related to universities, political ideology, and the judicial process.

In his first tweet at 11:51 a.m. UTC, Belcher stated: “I’ve proved this over and over.”

Shortly after, at 11:57 a.m. UTC, he expanded on his views regarding higher education institutions and their historical role in political movements. He wrote: “The Universities have been the base of revolutionary democratic (Marxist) operations since, at least, it was directed by Herbert Marcuse.

The radicals, including revolutionary Leftist murderers of the 60’s, didn’t disappear, and aren’t in prison. They flooded the universities.”

Later that morning at 12:28 p.m. UTC, Belcher commented on contemporary political tensions and their potential impact on legal proceedings. He tweeted: “Needs to be said: given the reaction of both elite and average Leftists, and the requirement of unanimity in juries, what are the odds his assassin, if arrested, charged and tried, can be convicted in this political atmosphere?”

Herbert Marcuse was a German-American philosopher associated with the Frankfurt School who became influential among leftist student movements during the 1960s. His ideas contributed to debates about Marxism and radical politics within academic settings across Western countries.

Belcher’s comments reference ongoing discussions about ideological influence within universities as well as concerns regarding polarization in jury trials under politically charged circumstances.
