Rep. James Thibault, a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, shared several statements on his Twitter account on January 31, 2026, addressing educational opportunities and civic engagement.
In an early post that day, Thibault expressed appreciation for a colleague’s efforts in education policy. “Thank you, Sen. Lang, for standing up for students and opening up more opportunities for them to learn!” (January 31, 2026).
Later that afternoon, Thibault quoted Erika Kirk regarding civic responsibility and referenced conservative activist Charlie Kirk: ‘”Citizenship is not a skill to be learned, but a muscle to be exercised, and Charlie Kirk was one of our best personal trainers in civic responsibility in our generation.” Beautiful words from @MrsErikaKirk—we must follow Charlie’s example and ensure our generation practices’ (January 31, 2026).
Thibault also addressed legislative matters related to classroom instruction. He wrote: “I receive an email about a bill I cosponsored. I respond. (with credit to @travis4nh) Protect students; keep ideology out of the classroom by supporting HB1132.” (January 31, 2026).
Senator Lang has been involved in initiatives aimed at expanding educational access in New Hampshire. The state legislature has debated bills such as HB1132 that focus on limiting ideological content in public school classrooms.
Charlie Kirk is known nationally as the founder of Turning Point USA and has promoted increased civic participation among young people.
