Rep. James Thibault, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from New Hampshire, made several posts on his social media account at the end of December 2025 addressing political engagement and policy concerns in his state.
On December 30, 2025, Thibault wrote, “The Republican Party is the party of young people! And there is no better place to get involved than New Hampshire!” Later that day, he criticized policies supported by other members of his state’s delegation: “They’re struggling because of years of poor policy and obstruction from your party. For YEARS, you and the rest of our delegation have pushed for high taxes, higher spending, and policies that do nothing for Granite Staters. We all deserve better.”
In a post dated December 31, 2025, Thibault addressed concerns specific to younger voters: “Gen Z voters are focused on whether or not they’ll be able to be self-sufficient and raise families, and we have an obligation to deliver for them and the generations that follow.”
Thibault’s statements come as New Hampshire continues to play a significant role in national politics due to its early presidential primary status. The state has long been considered a bellwether for youth political engagement and policy debates around taxation and government spending.
