Rep. James Thibault, a legislator in New Hampshire, has recently used his social media platform to promote civic initiatives and public engagement in the state.
On February 4, 2026, Thibault expressed support for proposed legislation aimed at education on flag respect. In his post, he wrote: “More of this! And let’s pass HB1345 here in NH to teach students to respect our flags! “
The following day, February 5, 2026, Thibault announced an upcoming event focused on civic engagement alongside fellow representatives. He stated: “Looking forward to joining Reps. @jonahowheeler and Valerie McDonnell next week at @theDPUnion to discuss civic engagement! Hope to see you there!”
Later that same day, Thibault informed constituents about his availability during the legislative session through scheduled office hours. He posted: “With the legislative session beginning once again, I will be hosting office hours again, in both Franklin and Northfield! I will be available two Saturdays a month at either the Franklin Public Library or Hall Memorial Library to answer questions, assist with requests, or just”
Thibault’s recent statements come as New Hampshire lawmakers return for a new legislative session. HB1345 is one of several bills introduced with the aim of promoting civics education among students in the state.
