The following day, September 15, Thibault commented on education policy: “This is why school choice is important.” School choice policies have been a topic of ongoing debate in New Hampshire and across the United States, with supporters arguing that such measures give families more options for their children’s education.

He stated: “When one side calls the other an imminent threat to safety or democracy, don’t be surprised when people believe it. And the government shouldn’t be funding that speech.”
