City Of Laconia issued the following announcement on March 25.
This year's Free Dump Day is scheduled for Saturday, May 7th at the Transfer Station! Please note that businesses cannot dispose of their solid waste for free on that day. It is recommended that businesses not come to the Transfer Station on that day as it will be very busy.
To help minimize wait times, we recommend that residents use the following schedule when coming to the Transfer Station on May 7th: 7:00 am to 9:00 am: First letter of last name from A through and including G; 9:00 am to 11:00 am: First letter of last name from H through and including N; and 11:00 am to 1:00 pm: First letter of last name from O through and including Z. Public Works will turn away any resident who arrives later than 1 pm, so please be sure to be at the Transfer Station before that time. Residents who do not have dump stickers must have some form of documentation that shows they are a Laconia resident.
Items accepted are appliances, water heaters, furniture, beds, plumbing fixtures, bagged leaves, demolition lumber, auto tires (limit 6 tires per customer). Items we will not accept are auto tail pipes, mufflers, radiators, engines, batteries or hazardous waste, paints or solvents.
