2022 Energy Conservation Projects - Clerk of the Works

Position: Clerk of the Works, Energy Conservation retrofits and building modifications.

Hours: Part-time, as required. Time will be scheduled in advance for on-site work.  Communication by email, letter, text, and telephone will be ongoing and responsive.

Location: Town of Gilmanton: Public Safety Building, Iron Works Fire Station, and Public Works Garage.

Rate of Pay: Negotiable, per location/building or hourly.

Job Description: Oversee all aspects of work relating to remediation of lighting, weatherization and heating in Five town buildings. Ensure that requirements of RFP and bid documents are met fully prior to disbursement of funds to contractors. A project strategy has been established that anticipates two rounds of RFP, one for lighting and electrical, and one for all other remediations. Details will be provided to the successful candidate. The selected Clerk of the Works will have input to the final determination of the process.

Qualifications Sought: The successful candidate will have at least ten years of experience in energy conservation in commercial construction, including lighting and electrical, weatherization, renewable energy resources, heating and cooling, and general contracting. They must also have demonstrated capability in writing and communication, job estimation, building codes and standards, and project management.
